Hi, I’m Sue, and I’m very pleased to meet you. You are very welcome here & I look forward to us spending some time together.
I have adored practising yoga for more than 35 years; am a Patron & Trustee of the Yoga for Health & Education Trust (YHET – yhet.org.uk) and have a British Wheel of Yoga (BWY) 500hr Diploma in Yoga Teaching. I am trained in Mindfulness, and QiGong. It is lovely to be offering yoga and wellbeing, teaching and care.
I have worked in the NHS as an Advanced Physiotherapist for more than three decades ~ in Ward, Respiratory, and Palliative Care/Hospice, with inreach into hospital and community . Specialising & working with individuals with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and their families; and others with advanced/rare neurological, severe respiratory and other health conditions has been a privilege.
I offer 1:1 Specialist Chartered Physiotherapy patient & family support to those with complex health issues; and support carers, agencies etc with expert specialist training.
I am also a Licensed Acupuncturist with 25+years experience, use it regularly in 1:1 treatments, and love the amazing effects it can have on health and wellbeing.
I love sea-swimming & am passionate about sharing & supporting this; am a Director of SwimTheWight CIC ( https://swimthewight.org.uk/ ) ; and am qualified as L2 Open Water Swim Coach/ L2 Open Water Rescue.
My Yoga is Scaravelli-inspired; studied thro’ Yoga Teacher Training (teachyoganaturally.org) This has linked my yoga, health and acupuncture backgrounds, to inspire a joyous, peace-giving and playful yoga practice.
I passionately believe that yoga, breathwork, and a complementary mix of Eastern & Western offerings, can bring much to refresh, relax and bring joy and ease to all ~ no matter how serious or complex health, or wellbeing challenges we may face. All, whatever their level of health or wellbeing, are welcome.
Truly inclusive and accessible 1:1, community class, workshop & retreat offerings; in the Isle of Wight, the UK & abroad
